I'm actually a bit of an AMD fanboy, but I freely admit that Intel chips have fewer flaws at this point. While AMD chips are arguably a better price/performance; for consistent gaming performance with relatively few downsides, the 3570k pretty much wins if you can get it on sale.

That said the 2600k system would also be good, and I personally would look at the AMD based system - but keep in mind it has it's downsides; primarily slightly higher power consumption and less single-threaded performance.
