My System Specs

I'll echo and +1 what Bond007 said.

The 3570 (k or non K) is probably the best gaming CPU you can buy. Usually it sells for about $240, but if you look for sales, you can pick it up for $200.

You can pick up a decent Z77 motherboard like this one for about $150.

If all you're doing is gaming, you don't really need much more RAM than 8GB at the moment. Pick up a nice dual channel 2x4GB 1600Mhz kit. If you want more RAM you can easily add another kit at a later date.

You can pick up a GTX660 like this one that will easily blow your old 460 out of the water.

For the SSD, the Samsung 840 Series 120GB SSD is on sale at NCIX right now for $120. Can't beat that for a deal! In the future if you ever run out of space, just buy a second drive and 'expand' your volume under disk management.
