Default HWC Overclocking Challenge #2: All-Out Ice Storm

Contest closed! Thanks for participating!

Welcome one and all to the (Not Officially) Official Hardware Canucks Overclocking Team! If you are new to the team, and want to learn more about what it is all, um, about, please see the introductory team thread here. How many times can I say about? About this many, I guess.

Round one was fun, round one is done, now it's time for another one!

Our first overclocking challenge was a resounding success, with lots of members submitting excellent SuperPi 32M scores. We are shifting gears now, from benching our CPUs to beching our GPUs! Let's see who can post the best score using the new 3DMark (2013) Ice Storm benchmark! Unlike our last challenge - there are no limits this time around. You may use any hardware at any speed to achieve the best possible score.

Contest Guidelines

Use the new 2013 3DMark (download link below) and run either all tests or the Ice Storm test at default settings. Note that only your Ice Strom score will be used in this contest if you run all tests. Use any processor(s) and any video card(s) at any speed. Using Lucid Virtu is expressly forbidden - so don't do it! Your screen shot must show all of the following:

  • Your overall 3DMark score
  • Graphics score
  • Physics score
  • Graphics test 1 fps
  • Graphics test 2 fps
  • Physics fps
  • CPU-Z CPU tab
  • CPU-Z Memory tab
  • CPU-Z Mainboard tab (only mandatory for submissions using an IGP)
  • GPU-Z

To enter this contest, you will need the following:

Background image to be used in all submissions (use download link for 1920x1080 or attachment below for 1024x768). Without this background image in your verification screenshot, your contest entry will be invalid.

3D Mark (2013). Note that a link to your online result is not required for this contest, but you are certainly free to provide one if you wish.

CPU-Z Ė at minimum, open two instances and show the CPU and Memory tabs in your verification screenshot. Those submitting a score from an AGP must also open the Mainboard tab.

GPU-Z. Just the main Graphics Card tab is needed. If GPU-Z reports your video card incorrectly, a different reporting program may also be used.

Contest entries will be accepted from 12:01 AM EDT on April 1, 2013 until 11:59 PM EDT on April 30, 2013. The official time stamp for a contest entry is based on when the submission link is posted in this thread.

How to Participate

Once you have your best 3DMark Ice Storm score, submit it using here. Make sure your submission is in compliance with both the specific Hardware Canucks contest rules and the general rules for 3DMark (2013) Ice Storm. After you have submitted your score to, post the link to your submission in this thread to enter. Good luck, and may the best overclocker win!
