My System Specs

I'm not understanding all the hate on Battlefield.

Admittedly, I'm a regular player, I'm part of a clan, and I enjoy the style of gameplay. BUT, remember: You don't buy Battlefield for the singleplayer campaign. Hell, I didn't even finish playing the single player campaign (I think I made it about half-way through). And I've logged somewhere around 100hrs of game play on MP since I bought it. I'll likely put in another 100 or so hours in the time until BF4 is released. So, figure about 200 hours of game play. I paid $60 for the initial game, then another $50 for the expansion packs (premium edition). So, that's $110 / 200hrs = 55 cents per hour of entertainment. That's not bad value right there...

Whether or not you find Battlefield fun is all on you, which determines if it's worth 50cents or $1 an hour (depending on how much you play). For me it's worth it. I can't find cheaper entertainment anywhere else.
