I find that REALLY hard to believe.. My 670 doesn't max out it's ram at 2560x1440.. what game? high res texture packs?
Even if you are maxing out the ram, a 690 will be of no benefit in that area as it only has 2GB per core..

SHould be, look at the scores for single 2560x1600, obviously it won't scale to be 3x the performance but there is no better solution bar 4 of these..
