For your uses I actually think your initial picks a quite good. If it was my money I would go with your choices, but I would get the i5 3470/gtx 660. As you mentioned you don't do extreme graphics gaming, so the 660 is definitely more than adequate, while allowing you the faster CPU that will net you gains and be a better long term purchase. What I would change is the motherboard. The b based motherboards lack features. Try to find a budget z77 based motherboard if you can.
