Sorry mate, but thats dilluted thinking.
They have a very good legal disclaimer on most of these products that states when you install it in your system you waive 'ALL' liability of damages caused by said product.
Unless the item has an inherent reproducable flaw that passed CSA or UL inspection, you don't have a leg to stand on.
