People are forgetting that the PSU is the main function of the computer.. if that goes, his whole PC is going down with it.
Put a HD 6750 in his computer and watch it blow up.
Estimated Power usage with a HD 5670:
System Type: 1 physical CPU
Motherboard: Regular - Desktop
CPU Socket: Socket LGA 775
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2933 MHz Wolfdale-3M
CPU Utilization (TDP): 90% TDP
RAM: 2 Sticks DDR2 SDRAM
Video Card 1: AMD Radeon HD 5670
Regular SATA: 1 HDDs
DVD-RW/DVD+RW Drive: 1 Drive
Additional PCI Card (avg): 2 Cards
USB: 3 Devices
Front Bay Card Reader: Yes
Fans
Regular: 2 Fans 120mm;
Keyboard and mouse: Yes
System Load: 90 %
Minimum PSU Wattage: 244 Watts
Recommended Wattage: 294 Watts
Basing that off of a standard PC.. I'm not sure what else he has floating about in his computer.
