Hey i was wondering ,what will give me the best sound quality? a dual 6.35 plugged into RCA with Y female 3.5 jack or a simple 6.35 to 3.5?

Nobody really explains that on the internet, they don't really know,btw it's for headphones, not speakers.I know the headphones plug is supposed to be the single jack but i wanna make sure it's better than RCA.
