Intel 520 series is generally known to be one of the best SSD's money can buy. it's not necessarily the fastest (although it's not slow by any stretch of the imagination) but it's generally considered the most reliable, with the best firmware. If you can stretch your budget to get a 240GB 520 series, then do it. You won't be disappointed.

As far as the 2.5" adapter is concerned, I don't know if your case has a provision for mounting a 2.5" drive. Most modern cases do. If you find a good deal on a drive that doesn't come with an adapter, and your case needs one, you can just rest the SSD on the bottom of your case until you have a chance to pick up an adaptor.
