If there was an issue with the cpu I can assure you that I wouldn't be trying to sell it. Hell I serious considered buying a highend motherboard (the rampage III from your_friendly_gamer) and running the cpu myself. Actually if it doesn't sell I still might try to snag one off of ebay and do that anyway.

If you're really that hesitant I will try to borrow a heatsink and psu, load up windows on an hdd and get a screenshot of task manger showing all 12 threads for you.

I've sold a lot of items on this forum and have good rep here.
