Default $1600 First Gaming rig

I'm building my own PC for the first time within the next couple of weeks. I have experience with upgrades, and am somewhat knowledgeable about computer hardware and software in general. Potentially ordering from Newegg and NCIX in ON , currently priced at ~$1550CAN. Planning on using it for relatively high performance gaming, 3D modeling such as Solid Works and a multi monitor setup.

-$1600 +/-75 (money saved is always nice, but not looking for poor quality)
-i7-3770k $330
-GTX 670 ASUS 4GB $450
-Corsair CMZ16GX3M2A (2x8GB) 2 of them for $165
-Sabertooth Z77 $235
-Thermaltake Smart M 850W $120
-Wester Digital Red 2TB $120
-Asus Blu ray burner $70
-Corsair H60 $54
-Possibly non stock fans for the H60 ~$20

I have been doing a lot of fairly in depth research into parts and incompatibilities. I have heard that 4gb graphics ram is overkill unless planning on a multi monitor setup is involved. Going for 3 1080p 24in displays. I have an Antec 900 case from a previous computer I will be using. The main thing I am worried about is ram compatibility with the mobo. Checking the QVL from the Asus website, this is the only ram in the price range I have that is compatible. USB 3.0 is a must. Planning on OC the i7 and the 670.

I'm thinking that the 850W PSU is massive overkill right now, but I'm still considering SLI now or in the future. Branding on parts isn't a priority, looking for quality at the best price I can find. Any advice or input is really appreciated.

*edit, removed "value" from the title as it wasn't what I meant to say
