Well if the $$ is really burning a hole in your pocket, I could always use a U3011.... :)
But you are right. I really don't see much of a difference from the i7 (I had the 930).
However power consumption and such are down, plus all the high end support on the SSD front like AkG mentions is a nice bonus.
So, its worth it to me, if you are going to get all the other technologies that come part and parcel with new chipsets. But for raw performance, it really isn't a nessessity.
