For sound cards, you said you already have speakers.

If it's just headset or pc speakers, don't spend more than the Asus AV100 equipped $80 something PCi-e card. perfect for gaming, good for music.

If you have audiophile grade speakers, and plan to use your rig as a source, then HT Omega will do them justice. It's an amplifier grade sound card.

I would stay away from those WD 2TB blacks. Noisy and power hungry. AKG was right that 2nd gen blacks solved this problem, but the only one out is the 4TB version.
