I actually disagree with this. Most people would think onboard is perfectly fine, but thats usually because they've never experienced how much better a sound card is. I bought my sound card because the xonar dx was on sale for 30 and I was going to try it just for the hell of it. Now I think onboard is unacceptable.

You gotta just try it and youll never go back.
