My System Specs

Default

Sometimes even the 3770k shows next to no major improvment in most things(gaming and such) over its quad core non hyper brothers.

Thing to keep in mind though, and something that was not mentioned here. Ivy bridge chips get very hot during overclocking/overvolting and this does limit thier potential overclocks. So yeh 4.5Ghz is not asking much apprently, but better have a good cooler to wick that heat away.

Personally, I would just stick with socket 1155 as unless you are doing some insane things that you need the extra threading/capabilities that 2011 offers, its a pointless expense. I know my buddy is using a 3570k with dual GTX680 and he has zero issues with all the games and such he plays.
