Hello and thank you for your help! o/
I am currently playing GW2 and my old computer is not up to the task. I love to play BUT i dont have as much time as I'd like so I dont need an ULTIMATE system. I need something that will allow me to play the game smoothly while multitasking on the background (such as browser open, music playing, TS or skype).
Other than games, I just use my computer to download and watch movies, browse the internet and that's pretty much it!
Oh, another BIG thing for me is the update cycle: I want something that will last me for more than 2, 3 years and will still run, like my last build.
Would love to hear your ideas for a new build as I am COMPLETELY lost with so much technology since the last time I build a system (I build for myself and just for fun/to save money)

1. What YOUR PC will be used for.
Mainly gaming but I multi-task a lot and I need the response to be reasonably fast.

2. What YOUR budget is.
I'd be really comfortable at around 400 to 500 all in BUT since speaking to you guys here, I am willing to spend more money for a solid build.

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
Toronto, Ontario - Canada

4. IF YOU have a brand preference.
No preference. Leaning towards Intel processors

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
Reusing all peripherals and OS.

6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.
I have and couldnt find a good balance between price/quality. Havent built a system in far too long and I'm overwhelmed by the options.

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
Dont plan to but I'm willing to.

8. WHEN do you plan to build it?
Havent bought anything yet but will as soon as I decide.

9. What resolution and settings do you use?
Medium to high is fine. My current system is REALLY old and it's running on the lowest for GW2.

10. Are there any specific technologies you want?
Nothing specific. I was reading about SSD and wondering if it would be worth it. Would love to hear opinions.
