I wouldnt touch an 840, for at least a couple more months. There is some reports out there about them dying very early on. Anandtech had two samples die on him, and there is a thread on TPU (I think?) about another guy thats on his 4th, with three dying.
With SSD's I find its always best to wait a quarter or two past release to see what bugs may crop up in mass markets; ala SF 2 series BSOD bug. Thats jmo tho, see signature at bottom for what my opinion is worth ;)
