Used to strictly purchase AMD only.. because of the "bang for buck" that I used to love so much.
But now it is becoming harder and harder to see it from AMD even with the overclocks..
The best thing about AMD right now (at least from what I can see) is their socket retention - purchase 1 nice board and it'll last multiple generations.
As a consumer, I really dislike Intel's "tick tock". It really puts me off from purchasing a high end board, I tend to stick to mid-level ones now because I know they are going to retire the socket.
