mind you, if you were trying to run everything at its bleeding edge inlcuding graphics cards being overclocked, the extra cores and unlocked multi on the 3930 would allow that much more overhead for you to fiddle around some.
But, most folks I know are not overclockers, so, a 3820 is plenty powerfull enough, 4 cores 8 thread at 3.6Ghz is anything but slow/weak.
