Ok I'll have a look at running rosetta on the one machine, I'm currently running WCG on both but that'll be easy enough to fix.
Don't know why I didn't pick up on that screensaver info, I know I looked at it, but when I went into "preferences" I think I only got as far as the theme settings which had "none" in the screensaver slot, but of course that was only for the theme itself and not what was set for windows.
