I have a SuperMicro Mobile Rack (5 x 3.5" drives in 3 x 5.25" bays). Hotswaps great under Linux. Have it hooked to a H67 motherboard, in an Enlight EN-7237/7250 case.
If you get one, I highly recommend going to a vendor like Monoprice and buying some very short SATA cables so you can wire the motherboard directly to the backplane without creating a giant cabling mess. Preferably locking SATA cables.
