Default Help! Looking for a miniITX build suggestion

Hi folks,

I used to be more of a PC enthusiast, but I've been on the sidelines for probably 2-3 years without keeping up with the newest tech. My gaming PC is showing it's age, and is starting to become unstable, and I'd love to move to a physically smaller build to fit on my desk. This is what I'm moving from:

PhenomII x3 2.8ghz stock
Xigmatek Direct Heat Pipe something cooler
4gb DDR2 ram
Corsair M4 SSD 128GB/500GB HDD
Nvidia 470
Seasonic 650W PSU
CM690 case

I'd love to move to a mini (or micro?) ITX case, like the bitfenix prodigy. But I have no idea where to start.

From the sticky thread:
1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
-Gaming at 1920x1080, don't need to max everything, but I do play shooters like BF3. I also do a decent amount of photo editing, lightroom can max out my current system pretty good.

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
I was hoping 5-600$ range, hoping to keep the GPU (nvidia 470) and maybe the PSU if it'll fit.

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
Canada (any sales or good buys right now would be appreciated ;)).

4. IF YOU have a brand preference.
No brand preference, but I would aim for an i5 quad core build. Power efficiency is nice on Intel's side, but not necessarily a deal breaker.

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
I was hoping to cannibalize my current build for the PSU, Xigmatek Direct Heat Pipe something cooler, SSDand keeping the GTX 470 GPU. Might upgrade to W8. So mostly looking for case, ram, mobo and CPU suggestions I suppose.

6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.
Read a little bit...most of the build's seem to be for full size cases and a bit out of my price range.

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
Novice overclocker..I don't mind tinkering around, but would be happy to run at stock. Stability is probably more important these days.

8. WHEN do you plan to build it?
It's been on my radar for a bit. Currently have a working PC and no new games pushing me..but my current random instability is nagging. Probably don't want to wait until boxing day sales

9. What resolution and settings do you use?
1920*1080, generally play games on high settings. Might move up to a higher res 27" monitor but probably not viable to game on it.

10. Are there any specific technologies you want?
USB3? Dunno if theres any mobos with buildin wifi but that would be useful..

Thanks in advance!
