Ok, that's pretty easy. I'm assuming I'd be able to create directories rather than just using the root?
As it stands, hostgater is looking like $80 will get me 1 year worth of domain name and hosting.
edit: Now I'm wondering if I need to spend $15 for a domain name or if there are hosting websites which will just give me a sub-domain off of their own.
edit#2 (and hopefully it'll still be seen... ;) )
As far as canadian hosting services go, does anybody have experience with "Canadian WebHosting" (
Canadian Web Hosting - Web Hosting Canada all in Canadian dollars - Plus Canada Domain Hosting Services ) or Myhosting.com (
VPS Hosting, Virtual Servers & Hosted Exchange | myhosting.com ) ?
Looks like $50 will get me a year's worth of hosting at myhosting.com, but I'm a little bit concerned with the "shared server" thingy.... I don't need a dedicated machine, but would that affect transfer speeds?
Anywise... thanks in advance for any suggestions, and if anybody knows of a member who runs such a service, please feel free to PM me and I won't consider it to be spam. :)
