You went completely overboard with that PSU and CPU, the case is questionable, weird CPU cooler, plus what are you doing for the video card?
Here is my suggestion for a system build. I'm gonna use parts/prices from DirectCanada or NCIX.
Antec Sonata III Case w/ 500W Antec EarthWatts PSU - $99
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz 1066FSB 8MB Cache 65nm - $209
Asus P5Q Pro P45 ATX Mobo - $140
2x1GB Mushkin HP DDR2-1066 5-5-5-15 996612 RAM - $75
Western Digital 500GB 7200rpm SATA2 WD5000AAKS HD - $73
LG H55N 20X DVD-RW - $26
Windows XP Pro SP2 64-bit - $142
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro LGA775 HSF - $27
Asus Radeon 3450 256MB PCI-E Video Card - $41 Total: $832
Still the above specs are too high end for an office PC. Here is what I think he really will be fine with:
Antec NSK4480 Midtower Case w/ 380W Antec EarthWatts PSU - $68
AMD Athlon64 X2 4600 Brisbane 2x512KB Cache 65nm CPU - $60
Asus M2A-VM 690G AM2 mATX Mobo - $64
2x1GB Mushkin HP DDR2-800 4-4-4-12 996603 RAM - $52
Western Digital 320GB 7200rpm SATA2 WD3200AAKS HD - $67
LG H55N 20X DVD-RW - $26
Windows Vista Business SP1 64-bit - $149
Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro AM2 HSF - $27
Use Integrated Mobo Video - $0 Total: $513
All prices are before taxes and shipping.
