Yeah, I lowered voltage to 1.15V on Q9650 to get it to 3.6GHz under 75degreeC with CM+ non-EVO version. Then I just ran it at stock as I did not have any real need to get more performance out of it. Once BF3 came along - I just got 3770/7970.
I am curious though, I have never read any horror stories about LC rapturing, spilling water all over MB, shortening it badly. May be I am just paranoid old man.
