Depends on the DDR2 800. I've seen many "decent" sets which won't break 900.
IMO, I can see sticking with DDR2 800 if it's going to make a big difference in price, but if it's under $10/gig it's worth paying the bucks for a set that's guaranteed (assuming it's not U/S) to do 1000+.
