Unless the first service pack restores the traditional desktop / start for non-tablet PC's I doubt very much that it's going to make much difference to those of us who are currently vehemently opposed to using metro (no matter what they want to call it). Vista SP1 resolved the great majority of issues that folks had with Vista, but it didn't improve adoption rates one iota.
In fact it was probably around the time of Vista SP1 that folks started demanding the ability to order PCs without an OS from Dell.
