Samsung has three overdrive/response time modes: Normal, Faster, Fastest
In "Fastest" mode I noticed a lot of reverse ghosting, in "Faster" mode it was perfect.
The listed ms response specs are usually lies or just marketecture. The Dell and Samsung are pretty equivalent in this area.
You might want to wait a few weeks for the Dell U2713HM, Alpine.
It will be a 27", W-LED panel with the smooth anti-glare and power usage of the Samsung, but with factory color calibration which is a benefit for games too.
The S27B970D will be over $1000.00 by the way. And it's glossy/glass.
It's a work of art IMHO, but a 27" glossy panel can be scary to look at. It also comes with a lot of "pro" features that require, or make use of a hardware calibration unit that you don't need, and probably don't need to pay for.
