That's not the case I'm afraid.

Every single province has different taxation rates provincially , and different ways of collecting federal excise.

And yes , If you get caught with out-of-province alcohol , you can be charged for it.

It's all pure BS.

The BC/Alta wine drinkers are fighting this right now.I'm going to look into it more and see if we can get some direction towards striking this crap from Canadian law.
