I don't have any splitters and well ultimately the route I've chosen should work out for me. Comes in cheaper then a high end sound card, which above 120$+ is the premium for the (to me) useless headphones amp.

I have the right cable, I've used a mono splitter too to the same results. I'm going to suffer through both channels on my L/R until everything else arrives.
