TRIM is an O/S function, but needs hardware that supports it to act on. Your M3A mobo is ATI chipset 700, no good for TRIM. It is not a problem, as long as your sata controller can give you AHCI mode is ok, you will have all the necessary speed. I have an OCZ Vertex Turbo 30GB on my mobo with AMD 785G chipset and works fine. Just no TRIM. That's all.
