Hello Building Community and people who are smarter than me!
This year I want to take my old build from 2009 and retrofit with new CPU. Any input would be great!
1. What YOUR PC will be used for.
A. Gaming, doing lots of tasks at once, and audio production.
2. What YOUR budget is.
A. Under $800 total
3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
A. USA
4. IF YOU have a brand preference.
A. ASUS fanboy, Intel fanboy, OCZ--- sucks my balls
5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
A. Intend to keep Graphics card, Power Supply, Case, Optical drives, Hard Drives, all peripherals.
Want a new CPU, MOBO, RAM, and cooler.
6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.
A. May need new PSU? More power? Heard Sandy bridge overclocks better? True?
7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
A. I plan on setting a very conservative/ stable overclock and keeping it there.
8. WHEN do you plan to build it?
In weeks
9. What resolution and settings do you use?
A. Max everything
10. Are there any specific technologies you want?
A. Intel Core I7, USB 3.0 support, At least 16Gb ram to start with room to add more, 2011 socket, water cooled cpu.
Here is my original build idea. Any comments on making it cheaper/ less bottlenecked in any way. Please comment on anything!
