My point is that a Phenom II is more than playable at the resolutions that we're talking about. Anything over 60fps is useless if you're only using a 60Hz display anyways (which most people are). I was merely objecting to you saying that a Phenom II is completely outclassed by modern games. The fact is that it is not. They are perfectly capable of playing todays modern games. Most games are GPU limited anyways...

I KNOW the the I5 2500K is a much faster processor and will return higher benchmarks. My point is that in the real world, under real conditions, it's much harder to tell the difference.
