Yeah I have a Spyder2Express and it's rather disappointing. It did an okay job on my 22" Dell TN LCD a few years back, but it simply doesn't do justice on my U2711.
I don't think Colorvision products get the greatest reviews in general. They're more consumer oriented than professional oriented and it shows. I would say save up and buy a proper one.
