Thanks for all the info guys. Ok forget the 6 core . I read about hyperthreading and I see that it simulates 4 extra virtual cores giving you 8 cores but that is only available on the i7 . I believe from what I read this will work in speeding up 3dsmax rendering increasing productivity .i5 2550k is 229$ 6mb l3 cache no HT . for 60$ more I get i7 2600 8mb l3 cache with HT then for 20 bucks more than that I get the K version of that i7 (unlocked) .
Like overclocking.ca stated Dont you think it would be worth going at least for the locked i7 ?
I dont really wanna go used on this build considering what happend last time .. I want to iron out all possible problem starters ...(even know the used cpu might be good)
