As I'm the first person to say they use ethylene glycol in their system (with distilled water, about 5-10% glycol), I'm ready to hear why this is extremely bad beyond what's below:

Pros:

Additives prevent corrosion
Things don't grow in glycol
I don't need to worry about freezing until about -5

Cons:

Heat capacity and thermal conductance lowered

I have three types of metal in my system (aluminum, copper and brass), so my main concern is keeping things *clean*.
