It will have 1TB just with less "spare" sectors. All hdds come with more space than there spec'ed for so that IF X number of sectors die they can be reallocated and keep the drive at spec (so they don't get an anti-trust suit). Back in the day there was a convoluted Norton Ghost hack you could do to make your cheaper smaller version Death Star hdd into the big one by using this blank space.
