Maybe it's insufficient GPU memory? I know F@H also refuses to start on my low-end GPUs like nVidia 8400GS and 8500GT. I got the older GPU2 client to work on a Radeon 3650 (probably 4 times your IGP) without any tweaking, but it tied up so much CPU that it wasn't worth it. It pegged a core of my CPU (either AMD X2 5200+ or Intel C2D E6300) at 70-100% to give a little under 700 PPD. SMP folding on the other hand gets 1000'ish PPD on those dual core CPUs for less power consumption. Unless you're running a an AM2 (not plus) Sempron, you'll likely be better off leaving that IGP idle and folding dedicated SMP on the CPU.
