yeah is like you are at the airport and jets are taking off. My rig was folding at a given moment with a 9800GX2, a GTS250 and a 9800GTX+ (all these 3 cards were run off of a 650W PSU). it is fine as long as you keep your headphones on but when you take them off, that is another story. I sold all the cards and I am staying only on CPU folding it is much quieter and much more energy efficient. if you want cpu folding a good start is a rig with a core i7 2600k. Phenom II X6@4GHz and i5 2500k@4.5 GHz generate about 14k PPD, an i7 2600K@4.5 GHz is doing around 27k PPD so you have a good idea of what to expect.
