Sorry for not updating, but I actually managed to find something even cheaper :P It's an Acer TimelineX 3830TG-6412. It was going for ~450 at Staples, so I couldn't resist. Only downside is the fact that it sports an i3-2310m, but it still has an awesome video card (GT 540M), and based on benchmarks found on the Notebookcheck site, it's pretty much equivalent to the A6-3400M anyways.

Definitely happy with my purchase, though, as it lasted me for about 6 hours yesterday, which is absolutely astounding for the 6-cell battery it has. And it does in fact run BF3 at low/med settings just fine too
