What a silly question. Everyone knows that a mug is meant to keep the heat in, which flies in the face of conventional overclocking.
You would need a frozen mug to overclock that cup of coffee properly.
However, if in the scenario you suggest, is that the hotter the coffe the more overlocked it is, the device still fails in that a lid would be required for optimal efficiency.
