I'll never understand how/why they can get away with raising prices for a product they already own on the shelf. I understand when they pay more they need to pass on the prices, but it should be illegal to raise prices on stock that was purchased before the shortage.

I'd love to see SSD companies strike now with a small price drop to push the world PAST magnetic storage. While we'd still need large hard drives for bulk storage, almost noone needs more than 500GB for any machine in day to day use (not counting your large storage of files here).
