That board could sustain a mild OC but take precaution for anything beyond 4GHz. In the long run you could probably replace it with a more robust board and upgrading to the Core i7 2600K is unnecessary as the Core i5 2500K is more than sufficient. Going with a Core i3 540 and a better board is not an option because the performance difference is quite huge (2C4T previous gen vs 4C4T current gen) and LGA1156 is a dead end while a Z68 board could be upgraded with IB next year.
