If you are worried about privacy you'd be better off using private trackers with encryption enabled. Though a more secure way would be using usenet and servers that only connect over SSL as its a lot more secure and even harder for your ISP to look into and packet shape (I've never had the packet shape slow down that torrents suffer with usenet)
