My System Specs

Default HTPC Build

Hello all,

I am looking at the following parts for an HTPC build. I don't foresee any real gaming on this rig. It will be connected to my Denon AVR-3300 and a Sony 52" LCD. It will be my Blu-ray player and allow me access to my network music as well as light browsing.

MCE Infrared 2 Channel Remote Control for Windows Vista & Window 7

Gigabyte H67MA-UD2H-B3 mATX LGA1155 H67 DDR3 2PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 Motherboard

Intel Core i3 2100 Dual Core Hyperthreading Processor LGA1155 3.1GHZ Sandy Bridge 3MB

Mushkin Enhanced Silverline Stiletto 8GB 2X4GB PC3-10666 DDR3-1333 9-9-9-24 Dual Channel Memory Kit

Samsung SH-B123L 12X BD-ROM & DVD Burner Combo Internal SATA W/ Power DVD Software

Antec Truepower New 550W Modular Power Supply ATX12V V2.3 Active PFC 80 Plus 120MM PWM Fan

Nmedia HTPC-1000B Desktop Media Centre Case mATX Black 1X5.25 4X3.5INT Card Reader No PS

Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA3 6GB/S 7200RPM 64MB Cache 3.5IN Dual Proc Hard Drive OEM

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64BIT DVD OEM

All parts priced through NCIX/New Egg and Direct Canada with DC coming in just under $800 not including tax and shipping.

As you can see, no video card as I plan to use the IGP. Any issues with HD quality that anyone has come across? I have not found much on image quality but most HTPC sites are complimentary of the H67/i3 combo.

Thanks in advance for any info, and yes, even for your opinions!
