Welcome to the to HardwareCanucks.
Yes it is the exact same board. Yes, it does support DDR2-800.
Direct
specs from the Asus web site
If you are in Canada, defiantly order it from Direct Canada. My question is why don't you go for the
ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe ATX AM2 Nforce 570 SLI for an extra $46.44?
Personally I would make the following changes:
Video Card: If you are not going to do SLI I would opt for the
Sapphire Radeon X1950 Pro for $205.20 as it's been proven to be faster than the 7900GS
Case:
Coolermaster Centurion 534 ATX Tower Case - $52.92
PSU: The Antec NeoH is for that cheap would be the $430W. I would suggested getting the
OCZ GameXStream 600W - $96.79
Ram:
OCZ Platinum EL XTC PC2-6400 1GB 2X512 DDR2 CL4-5-4-15 240PIN DIMM Dual Channel Memory Kit - $93.98
HDD:
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB SATA2 3GB/S 7200RPM 16MB Cache Ncq Hard Drive - $91.98
I'd try and stay away from the Canada Computers they are bitch to return things to and their Customer Service is crap. I have boughten from them and never again.
