Hiya, Just a little project I'm working on for my daughter... Well more for me. I wanted to try my hand at painting since I'm never satisfied with the paint on a stock case.
I had this old Antec 1600 ugly beige colored case that the oringinal contents have been transplanted to a newer black case. This is a stock Antec photo, mine doesn't have the fan hole on the side but I think I'll eventually put a window in.
So being brave with an old case isn't so hard to do so I bought the paint:
A clear coat, a primer, a gloss black for the interior and flourescent pink for the front, top and sides.
So this is where I'm at. First coat on all but the top which has 2 coats. I may have laid it on a little thick there though, I'll have to resand and recoat.
Even with a single coat the cage is looking good. This makes me think I might pull my CM690 apart and paint it too. Black and glossy is SEXY!
Here a close up shot of the front panel. Yes it's really that pink!
Heres the top panel and the drive bay covers, you can see on the bottom left that I've oversprayed a bit, no matter, sand and redo should take care of that.
I'll post some more pictures when I get further on into the build. I'm not really planning to put anything exciting in it, I might move my old P4 3Ghz into it. My daughter doesn't have high end requirements, Just a love of PINK.
