Yeah, 3/8" tuning keeps within 1-2C of 1/2" and is easier to deal with too. As for the HD's, you could always get 3 sets of the adapters I used and mount 3 drives. The space is there, it would just be a touch tighter. And finally, yes Noctua fans are not that pretty but they sure work well!
