no worries. by the eye some things look alike, but arent quite :) i made the one mistake when i picked out a cooler that only came with 1366 brackets, for the 1156 build.
going back to the
stock 970 cooler, that thing is a beast compared to classic stock intel ones. i removed the fan and jacked two noctuas on each side for some dudes build, looked ghetto if you looked but the temps vs noise were mighty cool vs stock fan
